Your new department

As our new PV Designer, you will be part of our EPC department which handles all the engineering activities within our Danish building program and plays an important role on the design for our international building programs. The PV Design team´s main responsibilities are to support the Project/Development department on the different project stages from Greenfield to Ready-to-Build, and later on EPC on the construction stage. We navigate between inhouse design, subcontractors’ design including multi-contracting approach where sub-contractor management is a big part of the daily routines. The team consist of 7 people.

Your new role

As part of the PV Design team your primary focus will be on Layout design and Yield Analysis, attending Electromechanical, Structural, Civil and Communications aspects. You will coordinate with other disciplines/teams like Electrical, Grid Integration, Technology Development (R+D), and Civil Engineering teams.

Here are your key responsibilities:

  • Design Excellence: Collaborate with our PV Design team to create optimal designs for utility-scale solar projects. You are expected to be familiar with all the plant design disciplines and have a solid electromechanical knowledge.
  • Energy Yield Assessments: Evaluate project feasibility by performing energy yield assessments from development to construction stages.
  • Construction Documentation: Prepare comprehensive construction documentation, including AutoCAD layouts, single-line diagrams, and SCADA/monitoring diagrams.
  • Coordination: Collect project information from developers and coordinate with other EPC engineering disciplines.

Prerequisites to progress in the job

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical, or relevant engineering disciplines.
  • You have minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale PV projects.
  • You have proficiency in AutoCAD for layouts, construction details, and single-line diagrams.
  • Experience with PVsyst or similar energy yield simulation software.
  • Experience with PV design tools like PVcase and GIS software like QGIS.
  • Exposure to complex topography, earth-moving works, and DMT terrain models is advantageous.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • As a person you are a team Player and possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
