Student Assistant, Group Treasury

In Group Treasury, we are looking for a Student Assistant who can contribute towards supporting the department to become the best-in-class in the industry.

The team
You will be part of the Group Treasury and FP&A department which today consists of 14 colleagues and reports directly to the management team. You will join the Treasury team of 3 full-time professionals, with responsibility for the forward-looking financial management of the Group, including standard Treasury disciplines such as Financing, Trade Financing, Liquidity- & Cash Management, and Financial Risk Management.
How you will create an impact
You will get your responsibility of tasks from the start within all four areas, with the prospect of engaging in projects based on your skill set and desires, whether that is hedging of currency exposures, analysis of interest rate exposures, optimizing cash and cash investments or facilitation of expanding the project pipeline via guarantee management.
The role includes exposure to financial markets (currencies, interest rates, bonds, credit, commodities, etc.) and financial tools such as Refinitiv Eikon. In addition, one can expect a high degree of business partnering with external partners such as banks and other financial institutions and internal stakeholders such as Finance, Procurement, and M&A.

Main responsibilities
- You will monitor cash positions across subsidiaries and provide suggestions for currency purchases based on short- and long-term liquidity forecasts
- You will update and distribute financial markets reports to key internal stakeholders and Senior Management
- You will maintain and improve internal databases of external loans, derivatives, guarantees, etc.
- You will manage the bank infrastructure of the Group such as establishing and closing bank accounts and relevant cash optimization tools
- You will help with ad hoc operational and administrative tasks to support key deliverables from the team
To thrive in the role we imagine
- You are currently studying a Bachelor's or Master´s at the university level or an equivalent institution within Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a similar
- You are fully proficient in English, oral and written
- You have a large appetite to constantly learn, grow and a drive to create results
- You are a confident user of common Microsoft 365 products, especially Excel
