Budgeted position 2023/4 JFF replacement

We are looking for an Application Consultant to be IT responsible for Global Laboratories, Test & Verification within our Product Development area.

You will be part of a team of highly skilled IT professionals. In this role, you will translate business requests for functionality into technical specifications to create a solution proposal to the business. You will perform analysis and estimation, outlining cost calculations and assist with business case justification. Additionally, you will advise the business on best practices and the effective use of existing IT solutions within our system landscape

What is the job about?

You will use your business acumen and collaboration skills to work with both management and technicians to improve processes and utilize IT solutions for the domain. You will have knowledge within IT applications and preferable experience with implementation and support of technical solutions.

It will be a major advantage if you have experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management systems), SCADA, test and data acquisition solutions.

Furthermore, general knowledge with SharePoint, PowerBI, LeanIX and programming / configuration of common communication protocols used to interface test equipment.

Your main responsibilities:

Maintain and develop our Test and Verification solution based on WorkPoint and SharePoint
Join Business in selecting and implementing a new global LIMS solution for Grundfos
LAB tool consultancy and support
Ensure back-up and restore capabilities
Maintain and renew licenses in general
Provide support and guidance, and estimate and quote requests for new business functionality / installations
Operational tasks as monitoring, performance optimization and security enhancement of install base
Deliver new installations of software and hardware
Participate in process improvement activities in department as well as cross functional
Run innovation projects to explore new technology and solutions
Project coordinator for small projects

Your background

We imagine that you have:

3 years of experience with a similar position in a company, or as system integrator for technical solutions
Experience with System implementation and support
Knowledge of software development, CI and CD
Education within IT management, engineering or development or similar
