Grid Integration Analyst to model and analyze renewable energy projects
Do you have a background in Electrical Engineering and would like to join a renewable energy company with an important agenda? We are looking for our new Grid Integration Analyst, where you will support the core business with complex modelling and grid code compliant design optimization for our large pipeline of renewable energy projects.

You will be part of the EPC, Grid Integration department, which consists of 8 enthusiastic power system engineers. We handle all grid connection aspects for our solar- (PV) and wind power plants from early stage involvement with grid code clarifications, simulation model development in RMS and EMT domain, performing grid connection studies and taking care that the plants fulfill all grid code requirements as per project agreement. Furthermore, we are working close to various departments and equipment suppliers in relation to grid compliance testing and simulation model verification.
As our new Grid Integration Analyst, you will have a key role in ensuring the grid code compliance of our solar (PV), onshore wind, and stand-alone and complex hybrid projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Power-to-X (PtX) facilities by conducting early stage risk assessment, developing advanced controls for unit and plant levels and undertake compliance studies with special focus on power quality aspects. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments and maintain external relationships with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and consultants. You will work closely with talented colleagues whom you can learn from, ensuring continuous development of your skills.

Your new role
As our new Grid Integration Analyst, you will have a key role in ensuring the grid code compliance of our solar (PV), onshore wind, and stand-alone and complex hybrid projects including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Power-to-X (PtX) facilities by conducting early stage risk assessment, developing advanced controls for unit and plant levels and undertake compliance studies with special focus on power quality aspects. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments and maintain external relationships with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and consultants. You will work closely with talented colleagues whom you can learn from, ensuring continuous development of your skills.
Key responsibilities
- You will build steady-state, RMS, EMT and harmonic simulation models of our plants in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD and/or PSS/E environment.
- You will conduct compliance studies and prepare technical documentation required for operational permits (EON/ION/FON).
- You will perform power quality assessments including evaluation of harmonic distortion, voltage unbalance, rapid voltage change, and support mitigation measures such as harmonic filter design.
- You will develop advanced tools to automate modeling, studies, and reporting.
- You will design advanced control and operational philosophies for co-located facilities and complete the required controller tuning.
- You will provide key insights for optimizing system designs.
- You will analyze the technical requirements for network connections in existing and new markets, to ensure that park designs comply with the local requirements.
Prerequisites to succeed in the position
We are looking fora team player with solid interpersonal and communication skills. You are highly motivated to work in the renewable energy sector and you have a systematic approach to solving tasks.
Moreover, we imagine that:
- You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
- You have 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in grid connection of renewable power plants.
- You have knowledge of power system design and grid code compliance studies in both time and frequency domain.
- You have technical knowledge of power quality and power system control.
- You have experience working with DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD or PSS/E.
- You are experienced with programming in Python or similar scripting language.
- You are fully proficient in English.
