Director, QHSE to wind, solar, and PtX projects
Would it motivate you to join a company at the forefront of the green transition and play a key role in our QHSE strategy? This is your unique opportunity to lead a skilled team of QHSE Specialists and set the direction for QHSE in European Energy in the future.
European Energy is a renewable company in exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar- (PV) and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
You will be a part of quite a diverse department. Group Risk Management & Insurance covers everything from insurance to QHSE on to Claims and contingency/emergency response strategies and Risk Transfer. We are 11 colleagues in the team, most of us based in Copenhagen, but a few colleagues based in Southern Jutland, Northern Jutland, and the UK. We support each other across specialist areas, and we like to have a good laugh.
Our overall goal is to create a solid synergy across the company from timely risk analyses and insurance policy placing to a safe and well-choreographed operations phase, and finally insisting on constantly improving through evaluations and lessons learned. Thinking ahead and ensuring the most sustainable, safe, and continuous way of doing business possible is what connects all of our different fields. As a cross functional department, we work with almost all departments in the company – because our expertise and areas of work affects everything and everyone.
The QHSE team consists of four colleagues, located across three locations in Denmark, and now we are looking for the new manager for the team. QHSE links together with our strategy of conducting responsible business, and we want to do QHSE with dedicated commitment to follow the international, national, and local laws and industrial best practice.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the QHSE team, ensure that the team members are thriving and offer sparring, when needed. You will lead the QHSE function, implementing new processes and systems, and developing a long-term quality assurance strategy for the company, in collaboration with the leadership team.
More specifically:
You have extensive experience in leading (Q)HSE initiatives, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience working in a matrix organisation, with a flexible approach to work, easily adapting to changing priorities. Ideally, you have previous experience leading a team and acting as a trusted sparring partner.
European Energy is a Danish privately owned company founded in 2004 with headquarter in Copenhagen. We operate all the way from development, design, financing, construction, operation and selling of wind- and solar farms on land as well as off shore globally. As part of this, we are also very active in M&A activities across the full value chain. Further, we work with development of future energy solutions, e.g. Power-to-X. We have a solid collaboration with local stakeholders and want to involve all parts in the process.
We are now more than 780 employees with 41 nationalities represented in 23 countries, and we are growing rapidly in both Copenhagen and across our global offices. We all work for our common goal to be the most innovative partner within the green transition and to create The Power of Tomorrow, Today.
Our working environment is built on mutual respect for the varied strengths and talents of our employees, with a flat hierarchy and entrepreneurial thinking at its foundation. Our employees value our flexible working culture, permitting better reconciliation of work and personal life. We are a team, whether it is in the workplace, on our company trips or during our weekly company training sessions. At European Energy, you will not only gain great colleagues, but also new friends from every corner of the globe.
