In this role, you will be at the crossroads of market analysis, risk evaluation and strategic decision-making. Your expertise will support our proprietary trading desk and renewable energy strategies, helping optimise outcomes in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.Concretely, your responsibilities include:

Analysing trends, pricing dynamics and regulatory changes in the Brazilian power market

Leveraging statistical models and tools to interpret data, forecast demand and uncover market patterns

Generating short- and medium-term price forecasts using models like NEWAVE, DECOMP and DESSEM

Tracking updates from ANEEL, CCEE and ONS, assessing their impact on price forecasts and market strategies

Collaborating with IT and trading teams to develop custom scripts and tools, streamlining processes and enhancing decision-making

Evaluating risks tied to market volatility, regulatory shifts and external market drivers

have proficiency in Python and familiarity with database management systems (for example, MySQL and SQL Server)

are fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal

are reliable and detail-oriented, always aiming for accuracy

take a well-rounded approach to risk, considering both market and external factors

are a great team player who always brings a positive and collaborative attitude
