The plant in Aalborg is one of the world’s largest single plants for production of cement. As our new Mechanical Supervisor, you can look forward to an exiting and varied workday, with professional challenges and great teamwork.
The position
You will be part of, a professional team of 5 supervisors, with reference to our Mechanical Manager, and you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the daily mechanical maintenance jobs at the plant.
In this role you will have independent management responsibility for a skilled team of mechanics. Your primary tasks are:
Your profile
You are a mechanical engineer (or have a similar background) with solid experience from a manufacturing company including management of small or big group of employees/contractor. Your experience includes at least 3 years working in a cement plant either as an employee or a contractor.
Your technical English in both writing and speech are good, and you are a confident user of IT tools. The work requires speaking Danish. We use MS Office and SAP. It will be an advantage if you have SAP or LEAN / Six Sigma knowledge.
Your leadership style is natural, and you are a robust and independent person, who motivates employees through communication, presence, and visibility in everyday life, but also by setting the framework and making demands. You also have a clear attitude to safety in the workplace.
As a person, you are outgoing and positive and possess a natural power over both colleagues and external partners, and you must be able to thrive in a dynamic production environment of operators, craftsmen, technicians, engineers, and managers.

The position

In this role you will have independent management responsibility for a skilled team of mechanics. Your primary tasks are:
- Responsible for ensuring that all scheduled maintenance work is completed.
- Supports the planner in developing cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
- Write work orders/requisitions to purchase all necessary parts, equipment, and services to perform unscheduled maintenance work.
- Resolve technical problems that arise during planning or performance of maintenance work, within support from reliability department and the maintenance managers.
- Supports the reliability department in developing the inspection procedures for all plant equipment.
- Make sure that maintenance workers (both internal and external) perform their work in an efficient, safe manner using maintenance best practice.
- Write applicable maintenance procedures (where needed or required) that promote maintenance work safety and quality.
