The job
As Laboratory Supervisor you will be responsible for our operational laboratory at the factory in Aalborg, which monitors the quality of our products around the clock. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 9 employees in the laboratory, where you must ensure that the employees are motivated and that they have the needed competences for performing the relevant tasks across all shifts. As Laboratory Supervisor you will report to the Quality Manager.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 9 employees in the laboratory, where you must ensure that the employees are motivated and that they have the needed competences for performing the relevant tasks across all shifts. As Laboratory Supervisor you will report to the Quality Manager.
In addition to the above your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Daily management of the laboratory – hereunder compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation
- Arrange and complete yearly staff development interviews
- Responsible for implementation of new laboratory equipment
- Securing that the analytical methods are followed and that the needed quality activities are performed and monitored
- Professional responsible for all analytical equipment and related analytical procedures
- Secure that the quality of the laboratory performance is monitored and documented
- Responsible for the laboratory’s participation in the relevant cross checks and benchmarks
- Responsible for routine sampling of all raw materials and finished products
Your profile
We imagine that you:
- Have a degree in engineering (MSc, cand.scient or similar), preferably within chemistry or geology
- Have 1-5 years of relevant experience
- Possess great leadership skills
- Have good communication skills
- Knowledge of cement raw materials and the performance of cement is an advantage but not a prerequisite
