hummel Kids apparel is looking for a passionate designer with a good sense for the important needs in children clothing from baby to tween size. You love a challenging everyday life, where you become part of a strong and professional team.

At hummel A/S it is our passion to design, deliver and market sport and sport fashion-products. We are a brand with a unique history and culture – which we love and take pride in.

WE ARE GLOBAL Our biggest market is Central- and Northern Europe. We are represented in over 35 countries worldwide. You will join our KIDS department in the design team and develop for our collections targeting international markets in the sports and fashion distribution.

TEAM SPIRIT
We believe in individuals with character, who also understands working in teams with high energy and lots of team spirit. As a Designer at hummel A/S you will be part of a dynamic team of four designers, driven by a high energy level and the desire to play each other strong in the process.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR DEVELOPMENT
Your main tasks will be to design new ideas and to shape the future look for hummel Kids. You will create sketches in Illustrator, detail drawings, work with colours and graphics, create artboards, style sheets and style creation for our IT system Navision. You will participate in commenting and fitting of samples with designers and technicians.
Our mission is to encourage kids to live an active lifestyle. Your job will be to design and develop styles to enable them to do so, with focus on functionality and comfort.
To reach this target it is important that you not only have the design skills, but also a keen interest in sport - and sport lifestyle apparel Kids and adults.
A natural flair for colours and ability to convert trends from both sport and fashion into sport lifestyle products – is essential. It is also beneficial if you have graphic design skills and knowledge of graphic functionality of fabrics and prints.
You will operate in close cooperation with an experienced product team, professional suppliers and a strong marketing and sales team.

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You have a relevant education as Designer and minimum 3-year experience within design related to sport or fashion
  • You know how to work in MS Office, Navision, Delogue and good user skills in Adobe Illustrator is a must-have
  • You are experienced in creating technical drawings with detailed information and have understanding for the production of commercial products
  • You have a passion for trends and a flair for commerciality of designs, choice of materials and color combinations
  • You are open minded, a true team player with passion for a job well done
  • You are structured, organized and understand the importance of meeting deadlines
