As our new Group CSR Assistant, you will be part of our small Group Sourcing & CSR team who is driving the CSR and sustainability agenda across the different hummel business units and brands.

Tasks


hummel is on an exciting growth journey. CSR and Sustainability plays a vital role in the continued business development, and we are looking for an ambitious and dedicated Group CSR Assistant who will become an integral part of developing and managing hummel’s internal and external social and environmental policies, ensuring that they match new and future regulations.

As our Group CSR Assistant, you will be part of our Group Sourcing & CSR team, helping to implement our CSR & sustainability strategy across hummel HQ, our sourcing offices and country offices to ensure that we meet our people and planet goals.

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Staying up to date on new EU and national legal requirements relevant to the textile industry.
  • Ensuring that all employees as well as our sourcing offices are aware of, and compliant with, hummel’s due diligence process in relation to suppliers.
  • Taking ownership of the annual CSR reporting including, but not limited to, the Thornico Company Karma report and the future CSRD report, and filling in CSR surveys, including an annual HIGG assessment, from our marketplace partners and wholesale customers.
  • Helping prepare hummel for future certifications such as GOTS or GRS, and ensuring our process for managing scope and transaction certificates is followed.
  • Gathering information for our annual climate accounting.
  • Assisting the Group Sourcers in chasing, checking and following up on audit reports from the factories, and monitoring the correspondence between the International Accord and our suppliers in Bangladesh.

And much more! You will have a very varied working day and come into contact with a lot of people from different cultures in this job.

What we are looking for


As our Group CSR Assistant you will be reporting into the Head of Group Sourcing, Buying and CSR, and will work closely with our Group Sourcers. Additionally, you will be in regular contact with our Sourcing, QC and country offices in China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Turkey. You will also work closely with the sourcing teams in hummel’s three business units: SPORT, KIDS & STYLE.

You will become one of the key players in the implementation of the Group CSR and Sustainability strategy.

  • Ideally, you hold a degree in CSR & Sustainability management or experience from a similar role.
  • You must be able to read and digest comprehensive reports with new regulations and legislative proposals.
  • Knowledge of the textile industry is a plus.
  • You must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Danish.
  • You enjoy working closely with other cultures.
  • You have an analytical mind.
  • You are proactive and a self-starter.
  • You are willing and able to travel up to 30 days/year.
