This is an exciting position to join our Transport team and bring your experience to the front. You will get the opportunity to get directly involved in the way we shape some of our transport solutions as well as contributing to new insight into expanding areas for Vestas. Sound good so far? Global Supply Chain Transport and Customs EMEA
Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and south of Africa. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. We strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, and we aim to make Vestas North and Central Europe the best place to work.
The Transport Execution department is responsible for coordinating the entire supply chain from manufacturing plant to project site within NCE region. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our achievement. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.

Additional Information
Primary work location: Aarhus Denmark, however we could consider this role in some major Vestas locations across Scandinavia.
Travel expectations are around 30%, across the region and potentially more if outside of Denmark.

Responsibilities
- Support for external Suppliers in transportation and lifting of our components, including training and supervising when necessary
- First entry surveys in new countries and Ports
- Evaluation of surveys
- Troubleshooting and investigation for incidents, interacting with internal stakeholders as well as external (suppliers, insurance, customers etc)
- Implementation of new transport solutions from VPS into NCE region, as well as new regions
Qualifications
- You will have extensive (10yrs) technical experience of within transport and lifting equipment
- You will have a good understanding of implementing new solutions, maybe coming from a sub-supplier, surveyor, manufacturer or similar
- Ability to instruct and transfer knowledge at different organisational levels
- Heavy industry experience, wind is ideal but other similar industries like oil & gas would also be a fit
- Practical knowledge – with your experience you will be able to guide on the reality of what can and what cannot be done
- Proven experience of supervising training for others, incident investigation, surveys
