Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…be responsible for the technical reliability during the entire value chain of the blades and nacelle covers, with focus on materials. You will cooperate closely with suppliers and participate in technical meetings with our customers. You will work on engineering activities regarding the blades and nacelle covers to ensure optimised performance, quality and total cost on all platforms and turbine releases.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring technical evaluation and approval of components and materials working closely with suppliers in realising solutions
  • Acting as the technical lead in supplier material qualifications
  • Driving and developing the technical specifications for the blade and nacelle cover materials portfolio
  • Characterisation of material properties
  • Plan, evaluate and report testing of materials
  • Ensuring technical integrity and collaboration with stakeholders. One of you primary stakeholders will be our Global Supply Chain Management organisation (e.g. factories)
  • Maintaining specifications and FMEA with inputs from operational experience in the value chain
  • You will be part of Blade engineering, which is part of the Development & Engineering department in our Technology organisation. In the team, we continuously strive towards being at the very forefront of the newest technologies, and it is important to us that we constantly work with continuous improvements to solutions, technologies and applications.


  • Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

    …has in-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with materials, preferably from the wind turbine industry. You have a high drive towards achieving good results whilst keeping an excellent work ethic. To succeed in this role, you must be analytical and an innovative problem solver who can foresee global technology development within material engineering.

    We expect that you:

  • Hold a relevant engineering degree (preferable chemical or mechanical engineering)
  • Have relevant experience within wind turbine blade design and/or materials and processes
  • Have an independent workstyle and possess good English and communication skills
