In a highly competitive and globalised market, Product Strategy & Technical Sales set the direction for future commercial product offerings, making sure that Vestas supports the global transition to renewable energies while staying ahead of the competition. Product Strategy & Technical Sales has a global reach into our sales regions, including Technical Sales Management who is responsible for technical sales and bid management.
In everything we do, we have a commercial and customer-oriented approach. We are measured on the impact our products have on Vestas' profitability and the ability to continuously improve competitiveness. We are responsible for defining the product strategy globally across our sales business units to support local market success while taking into account the dynamics of solutions for renewable energy in the global market.
To lead the products through the value chain and to the market, Product Strategy & Technical Sales collaborates with many stakeholders across Vestas, and now we are looking for a New Segments Lead to drive commercialisation of new innovative ideas as well as help shape the product strategy for new emerging market segments like for example power-to-X and merchant markets.

Your primary work location will at our headquarters in Aarhus N, Denmark.
Approximately 30 days of travel per year is to be expected.

Responsibilities
- Shape and promote the commercialisation strategies and early market adoption for new innovations in collaboration with key functions across Vestas
- Engage with key customers on new innovation ideas, business and partnership potentials
- In collaboration with Corporate Strategy, Innovation and other core functions, establish the long-term industry and market outlook to guide product development, including market and business deep dive investigations on new business opportunities
- Engage in roadmap projects to steer focus and direction from a market perspective
- Coordinate and engage with other key functions, e.g. Corporate Strategy, Sales, Innovation, Public Affair and Engineering functions
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience from energy markets, e.g. from a utility, regulator, wind turbine manufacturer or trading
- A university degree, either in Engineering combined with a commercial education or relevant commercial experience - or in Business/Economics combined with technical education or relevant technical experience
- Proven experience with delivering great results and working with a wide range of stakeholders in an international, matrix organisation
Competencies
- Team-oriented and an excellent networker with good stakeholder management skills
- Reliable, confident and willing to walk the extra mile to do "what it takes"
- Ability to influence others and willingness to question opinions, both internally and externally
- Curious and enthusiastic approach to discovering new and unknown market segments/sectors and quick to establish an overview of market opportunities and understand key business drivers
- Great communicator and fluency in English both verbally and in writing
