About the department
The Analytical Competence Centre is a department in Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development and consists of plus 60 employees organised in 4 teams. We have a central support function in relation to chemical analysis of Novo Nordisk IFP under development, as well as our marketed products. The department is responsible for validation of analytical methods before clinical phase 3 and for the subsequent transfer of those methods to our QC laboratories across the world. We also support our colleagues globally with analytical knowledge and scientific help as well as drive optimisation of the analytical methods. Furthermore, the department has recently started on a journey involving scouting, testing and implementation of fast analytical techniques that can reduce the lead time for analysis with the ambitious long-term goal of real time release testing for our diabetes finished products.
The job
We are expanding our analytical capabilities in the laboratory with new in-line/high-throughput analytical technologies, primarily based on vibrational spectroscopy. Therefore, are we looking for a skilled laboratory technician to help us implement, run and optimize these new analytical technologies.
You will contribute with your knowledge about equipment implementation to help us implement and evaluate cutting edge analytical equipment.
You will be responsible for making sure our analytical equipment lives up to the standards of “Good Scientific Practice” (GSP), and you will be responsible for planning and running experiments on this equipment. Furthermore, we expect you to participate in a close collaboration with our scientists providing feedback on instrument performance and experimental design.
As we are constantly looking for new analytical technology, and will rely on your knowledge when assessing this, some annual travelling days are to be expected.
Qualifications
• You have a technical background, as a laboratory technician or similar.
• You have several years of experience working with implementing and/or developing new analytical equipment, preferably non-standard equipment, such as spectroscopic probes, flow cells etc.
• As a person you are good at collaborating and communicating with others independent of cultural, and scientific background.
• You are meticulous and detail oriented, but also understand how and when to compromise, so the end-product is fit-for-purpose.
• You thrive in a dynamic environment where we push the boundaries of what is scientifically possible and set ambitious goals for ourselves.
• You speak English and can communicate in Danish or have the desire to learn to do so.
• Furthermore, we expect that you can work independently, are highly motivated, and that you have a positive mind-set with a desire to learn new things together with your colleagues.
• Experience with data analysis or programming in e.g., Matlab, Python, SynTQ or similar is considered a benefit, but not a requirement.
