The position
As Senior Project Manager you will manage one or more projects, depending upon complexity and location.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
We believe collaboration and communication are critical to successful project delivery, so we base our project execution on a Half Double and Agile approach. Projects you will typically lead will be technical transfer of a drug substance; a side chain or a drug product focusing on the preparation and execution of the Process Performance Qualification (PPQ); and/or establishment of robust processes for commercial production and supply chain. Often projects are new products which transfer from other business areas such as Research & Development or Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC).
The project team will typically consist of specialists, Quality Assurance (QA) professionals and Supply Chain professionals from GCM, CMC, Manufacturing Development, QA, Regulatory, Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing.
Travelling will be an integral part of this role to be on site with partner Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) within Europe or overseas. The amount will depend on the project and geographical place of the CMO, going from a couple a days every 1-2 months to a week every month. In special cases an extended business trip for several weeks may be required.

As a person, you can easily establish close collaboration with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to create a highly engaged team and effective governance on the projects. You will also have excellent analytical, planning and communication skills, which will enable you to continuously set direction, keep an overview on progress and prioritize actions accordingly.
About the department
Global Contract Manufacturing (GCM) is a unit in Novo Nordisk Product Supply organisation and responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operation of global manufacturing of drug substance and drug products at Contract manufactures. Our main office is located in Bagsværd, Denmark where approximately 120 people are based. The primary role of GCM is to establish, monitor, support and control the production handled by Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). We operate in many countries, e.g. USA, Belgium, Italy and China.
You will join the department GCM Projects, which is responsible for both controlling the project portfolio and executing the projects in the portfolio.

The position

- Defining and executing project strategy.
- Applying traditional project tools like project plans, stakeholder management and communication, risk analysis, project performance reporting, and appropriate governance across all units involved.
- Oversight and high-level governance of projects across product areas.
- Ensuring alignment and coordination between external partners and established Novo Nordisk’s processes and production frameworks.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
- Hold at least a bachelor degree within Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management or any other related field.
- Have at least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager leading complex business projects within a large organization in an international environment.
- Bring extensive experience within manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, food or from a tech transfer function, and you possess an extensive knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements (such as GMP).
- Have strong leadership skills and you have the ability to engage people, build trust in your relationships, and to get commitment from internal and external stakeholders.
- Be fluent in both spoken and written English.
