What’s the role about?
As a Scrum Master, you will become responsible for facilitating, coaching and supporting one or more of our agile delivery teams in the Global IT Operations. You will be working both independently and in close collaboration with first and foremost the product owner(s) but also our business owners, Release Train Engineer, technical architects and team members who is distributed globally. If you enjoy interacting with people, guiding your team in an inclusive and trusting manner, then you are probably a good candidate for the position.
Your role as Scrum Master is important to Novo Nordisk. The agile way of working will have top priority and there are full support from senior management to implement, adapt, check and adjust to agile principles and new ways of working.
Responsibilities to take:
Be an agile champion for your team in the Infrastructure Product Area Help your agile team members and PO to reach their goals Coaching and leadership Keep track of and help solve impediments and escalate if necessary Help the team manage their progress via transparent backlog and board overviews, prepare and align expectations before and during events
We are especially looking for someone who can drive teams, vendors and customers in Novo Nordisk’s Agile way of working, be a change ambassador to drive the learning culture and the agile mindset in your agile teams. And of course, be an active and engaged colleague who enjoys working closely with people and have a genuine interest in getting to know your colleagues in the Novo Nordisk GITO organisation.
What are we looking for? A bachelor (B.Sc.) or master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar Minimum 1-3 years of documented experience in agile methodologies Experience working within a SAFe framework, and also know when to apply Kanban is an advantage Experience with the Infrastructure domain
As a person you are motivated by challenging assignments, you absorb new knowledge quickly, and you are always open for developing new competencies.
Independence, cross-cultural understanding, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential in combination with strong change management and communication skills.
The department
The position is based in Global IT Operations (GITO) - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services.
The GITO Strategy and Transformation department is a team of highly skilled and dedicated people. We are a team of 14 dedicated Scrum Masters, helping our agile teams in delivering on the features agreed at the PI’s. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, we are setting the direction in working with agile deliveries and coaching agile delivery teams, and we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver and introduce new ways of working. We are on an exciting journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our work will be delivered according to the SAFe framework with agile teams running iterations. The Scrum Masters are key in ensuring good dynamics in the agile team, and guiding the teams to working in the SAFe agile framework. We embrace diversity and find inspiration in new ways of thinking. We have a fun and collaborative working environment, where we share and celebrate our successes and openly discuss our challenges.
