looking for two new colleagues for our Fermentation, Recovery & Cleaning Support Team.
The position
Our Fermentation, Recovery and Cleaning Team provides support to the API production departments within process optimisation, troubleshooting and transfer of new processes from development to production. We are responsible for carrying out the parameter studies for development projects as well as to support the API productions. A large part of the work takes place on a laboratory scale. In this position you will work with protein recovery processes such as:
The work includes planning, execution, evaluation and reporting of experimental work as well as programming and operation of ÄKTA systems. In addition, you will participate in other laboratory tasks such as maintenance of equipment and preparation of instructions.
We are currently establishing a laboratory scale fermentation facility as well as a “state of the art” cleaning test laboratory. Hence for the two positions experience with either fermentation of equipment cleaning tests is of relevance, but not a requirement for the position.
Qualifications
You have a good mood and work well independently as well as in a group.
The Department
API MDev Process Support is a dynamic and well-functioning department with many contact points in the Novo Nordisk organisation. We love professional challenges, and we perform our tasks independently and with great individual responsibility, whilst a high level of commitment and good social interaction are in focus - we believe that going to work should be fun and challenging. The department consists of approx. 80 employees divided into five teams. We are located in Bagsværd, but also have office spaces in Kalundborg.

The position

- Preparative HPLC (ÄKTA pure purification stations)
- Isoprecipitation
- Crystallisation
- Filtrations (micro- and ultra filtrations, DCF)
The work includes planning, execution, evaluation and reporting of experimental work as well as programming and operation of ÄKTA systems. In addition, you will participate in other laboratory tasks such as maintenance of equipment and preparation of instructions.
We are currently establishing a laboratory scale fermentation facility as well as a “state of the art” cleaning test laboratory. Hence for the two positions experience with either fermentation of equipment cleaning tests is of relevance, but not a requirement for the position.
Qualifications
- You are a trained Laboratory Technician and have experience in protein purification and preferably also in fermentation and/or equipment cleaning processes.
- You are good at communicating and expressing yourself in writing and can report your experimental results independently, as well as you can understand, speak and read English.
- You are used to close collaboration across specialist groups, and you thrive on sparring and contributing to defining the set-up of experiments.
- You thrive in a changing and busy everyday life and can prioritize your work tasks.
- You take responsibility for your tasks and follow them all the way to the door at the agreed time.
You have a good mood and work well independently as well as in a group.
