In our department, Digital Foundation, we have successfully established an effective, secure, and compliant practice for custom software development on cloud infrastructure, running on both AWS and Azure. We have a combined strategic focus on enabling software development innovation while ensuring stable operations. To mature and scale our software development practice, we need a Product Owner.

What’s the role about
As our new Technical Product Owner, you will be the critical partner for our 5 capability leads (SRE, Software, Compliance, Design, and Product Management). You will be responsible for driving the planning and execution of deliverables from our delivery teams. Furthermore, you will ensure that the infrastructure, services, and solutions we offer, are secure, compliant and provide the best possible value to the development teams.
The Digital Foundation team is responsible for designing and building tools and offerings that support our software development practice in the pharma-regulated industry at a global enterprise scale across multiple software development. In addition, the team collaborates closely with Global Information Security, Operations, and Compliance colleagues to continually improve the security and compliance posture for custom-developed software.
In the agile setting, you will collaborate with the other Product Owners across Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT), and business units. In addition, you will also collaborate closely with department managers across Digital Innovation & Incubation. Finally, you are expected to create and maintain release plans, roadmaps, backlogs, and progress reports across the Digital Foundation portfolio of services.

You will become a team member in Digital Foundation, a part of DD&IT, where we focus on maturing Novo Nordisk’s software development capability. Your primary working location will be in Bagsværd, Denmark, however, we work closely with our colleagues in the business, who are in Søborg, Hillerød, Gentofte, Kalundborg, and many other places. We are a dedicated team responsible for developing, aligning, and implementing software development best practices. You will be part of an inspiring ambitious work environment where modern software development methodologies, tools, teamwork, and a growth mindset are key.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate who can tick off most of the following:
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, IT, or similar and +5 years of experience as a project manager, architect, or product owner.
- Preferably, you have experience from a global enterprise where you have implemented Cloud services, Microsoft infrastructure services, or IT infrastructure in general.
- You can set direction and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation
- You can understand and map business needs and communicate these in an inspiring way to the agile delivery team in the form of specific requirements.
- You have experience with Agile methodologies and tools and are familiar with Scrum, Kanban, Prioritization, Lean Business cases, etc.
