Can you challenge the status quo and build a compelling future by delivering value through new technologies? We are looking for a Digital Innovation Partner, with the initial focus of building & managing a portfolio of digital innovation programs at a regional level for Northwest Europe (NWE) and supporting adoption of emerging and value-adding technologies to ultimately provide better care for millions of patients. What´s behind the title? The digital innovation partner role is highly dynamic – we are looking for a flexible profile willing and excited to adapt to multiple partnership opportunities – potentially shifting focus to another region or a specific therapy area. As a digital innovation partner, your first responsibility will be to build and maintain an innovation portfolio of initiatives and programs within and across markets in NWE – including finding digital opportunities within the complex digital landscape of the region. As this region covers a diverse geographical area, representing markets at many levels of digital maturity, a key to success is to establish a comprehensive innovation management process covering different markets and realities. This includes working directly with markets and building a portfolio of digital innovation projects. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that leverage emerging technologies, facilitate ideation processes internally and externally, communicate convincingly and clearly to stakeholders across the business and act as a trusted advisor with a strong understanding of business challenges and constraints. With this position comes great responsibility and a high level of exposure to internal and external stakeholders, as innovation is a strategic area in Novo Nordisk, and the industry is in steadfast competition. Expected outcomes you will drive:
  • Programme management and coordination of innovation initiatives: business modelling, GoTo market strategy, market research, etc.
  • Innovation opportunities aligned with strategy -- where digital can provide growth
  • Digital innovation strategies and scale decisions executed in collaboration with key business stakeholders
  • Specific tasks may include:
  • Conduct regional and affiliate challenge mapping & innovation idea prioritisation, problem framing, discovery, solutioning, experiment & concept, design and build with affiliates & regional office
  • Administration & Coordination of Digital Sounding Board meetings (regional digital decision body), incl. facilitating communications, pre-read and presentation materials
  • Facilitating relevant digital product / project steercos with communications, pre-read and presentation materials
  • Programme management and coordination of innovation initiatives: business modelling, Go-to- market strategy, market research, etc.
  • Uncover and map innovation opportunities aligned with regional strategy -- where digital can provide growth
  • Do you have what it takes? We are looking for a person with experience and passion for driving and communicating exciting innovations.
    You should be able to tailor messages to relevant partners from various levels of authority. Strong analytical, technical and business skills are needed to navigate the landscape of technologies and translate uncertainties into tangible opportunities for Novo Nordisk. Formally, we expect you to have 4 - 6 years of consulting, product management, project management and/or innovation experience, a relevant Master’s degree rooted in technology and/or innovation management, constant upskilling and a track record that includes one or more of the following:
  • An innovation track record working on, or driving, disruptive projects from idea to launch
  • Experience taking ownership and driving results with the ability to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Experience in developing relationships and working with multiple stakeholders on high-profile, cross-functional, and multinational initiatives
  • A structured person, who is a vibrant and with a can-do approach
  • Knowledge and passion for digital trends
  • You should also be well-articulated, have excellent business English skills (oral and written). To succeed in this role You hold strong stakeholder skills and able to move stakeholders ranging from technically-minded colleagues to C-level executives. Furthermore, you must be able to navigate between changing landscapes internally and externally – with an eye for win-win-solutions that truly matter. You should both be comfortable working on projects with a high level of unknowns and capable of incubating initiatives from ideation to proof of concept, to pilot. Who are we? Innovation Consulting is a part of the Business Innovation Garage, an established digital unit in Novo Nordisk that identifies and drives growth opportunities created by emerging technology – and with commercial value. The Garage is comprised of three teams - Innovation Consulting: Consulting on digital from ideation to pilot; Open Innovation: Scouting start-ups and building frameworks for accelerated external collaboration; and Digital Transformation & Moonshot Factory: Digital Strategy development with the purpose to elevate and align Digital Innovation efforts across the business. Building moonshots - explorative projects that have 10X disruption potential. Organizationally, we are a part of the Digital Incubator & Innovation area, within Global Digital, Data & IT. Overall, our core focus is to remain forward-looking and showcase strong adaptability. Furthermore, we work in a highly agile manner and must be able to shift focus based on rapidly changing opportunities and threats within emerging technologies.
