Quality Systems is an important area within NNQ. Our purpose is to make quality easy and understandable by developing and operating a robust and simple Quality Management System. We are a global team of approximately 200 employees with quality expertise within processes, operations, information technology, data management and analysis. We build and maintain the foundation of quality across the value chain within Novo Nordisk.
The Position
The Corporate Vice President reports to the Senior Vice President of Novo Nordisk Quality and is and a member of the Novo Nordisk Quality Management Team. You will be overall responsible for the development and operation of the Novo Nordisk Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring an adequate and effective QMS at all times while securing regulatory compliance in all activities and meeting business needs. This includes the responsibility for authoring the Novo Nordisk Quality Manual. You will lead the continued QMS simplification, drive digitalisation efforts and Quality transformation projects, while managing key quality management processes. In addition, you are the IT system owner of multiple companywide QMS systems. As the Process Owner Delegate for key Quality processes, you will perform regular review of process performance and compliance. This includes establishing improvement plans and activities and establishing corporate-wide learning activities for the processes.
As a leader you leverage your leading-edge expertise within QMS and Quality processes to set strategic direction and drive performance. At the same time, you also empower and support your team of nine direct reports to lead, manage and develop their teams to achieve high performance. You are able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence across levels. You value diverse perspectives. You will also represent Novo Nordisk in relevant external fora and to relevant industry/pharma associations while keeping up with changing regulatory requirements.
The position is based in Bagsvaerd, Denmark.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
• Master of Science degree in Natural Sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or the like
• GMP certification
• 10+ years of experience in quality management and work experience with quality in a regulated environment
• 10+ years of proven managerial experience – leadership by situation, value-based management, ability to lead, develop and engage, and coordinate global cross-organisational groups
• Profound knowledge of Novo Nordisk business, organisational governance and decision structures
• Profound knowledge of Novo Nordisk Quality Management System
• Good overview of regulatory requirements relevant to the Quality Management System
• Experience in quality assurance and risk management
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and ability to set direction in business-critical processes
• Ability to motivate, engage and continuously develop highly skilled people
• Ability to communicate in a simple, transparent, engaging and understandable manner
• Analytical with strategic line of thinking
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong personal drive and impact
• High level of integrity
