The position We are looking for a skilled academic to be our new analytical chemist in the team supporting the analytical methods. In this role, you can look forward to having the responsibility of: Trouble shooting and daily support to the laboratory technicians, who perform and approve the analytical results. Ensuring, by a systematic approach, that our methods are performing as efficiently as possible with the lowest lead time. Driving optimizations wherever possible. As we work under GMP requirements, Change Requests, SOP updates, laboratory investigations, and deviation handling are a natural part of the job. Your main stakeholders will be colleagues in the department performing the analysis, other QC departments, QA and Regulatory Affairs. In Novo Nordisk we are on a journey of digitalizing our QC laboratories, by introducing automated processes and connecting laboratory equipment to LIMS (Laboratory information management system), in order to support a paperless future. Currently, the department is working on an automated HPLC sample preparation and an automated sample storage facility. You can contribute to this journey by being curious about new and innovative solutions and secure successful implementation.
Qualifications
We imagine that a successful candidate will have: A scientific academic degree, such as cand. scient., cand. pharm., chemical engineer, or similar. Strong communication skills both in spoken and written English and Danish (or another Scandinavian language). Working experience with such techniques as HPLC, pH, and microscopy is a strong advantage, as well as experience working with GMP. On a personal level, you're a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You're able to work independently and take ownership of your projects, but you also know how to collaborate effectively with others to achieve ambitious goals. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to explain complex concepts and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You're passionate about your work and always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Whether you're troubleshooting an issue in the lab or providing support to your team, you bring a positive attitude and a can-do spirit to everything you do. About the department The chemical QC is a department in Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development, which consists of 50 employees, organized into 3 teams. We are physically placed in Bagsværd. The department is responsible for a wide variety of chemical analyses on diabetes finished products (primarily HPLC), covering release, ID, stability, validation, and customer complaint samples. We are receiving samples from our productions worldwide. The team consists of 1 GMP coordinator, 7 academics, 9 lab/techs and 1 team leader. We are responsible for support to app. 30 chemical analytical methods (primarily HPLC). The support is on existing well-known methods and new methods for new drug products. Working at Novo Nordisk
