The Senior Executive Remuneration Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and management of Novo Nordisk’s executive compensation programmes. The Senior Specialist will work closely with Vice President, Equity and Executive Compensation to ensure total remuneration is competitive and fair and aligns to Novo Nordisk’s strategic business objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will be able to participate in share programme initiatives and lead special projects.
Primary tasks will include:
• Develop, implement, and administer executive compensation programmes that align with company’s business objectives to support attraction and retention of top talent
• Communicate with executives and other key stakeholders regarding their compensation packages and shareholding requirements, where applicable
• Create and support remuneration packages/offers for new or newly promoted SVPs including providing content for and review of employment contracts and addendums; Partner with Corporate legal to create severance and termination packages
• Work closely with legal, finance and HR teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to executive compensation such as the Remuneration report and Remuneration Policy
• Provide supporting material for the Remuneration Committee meetings in close cooperation with legal and external providers
• Lead the following processes: annual EVP-1 job level review, annual compensation review, executive equity awards, and annual & quarterly forecasting Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in a Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience; at least 3 years in executive compensation or other related fields (e.g. compensation, benefits, finance, legal)
• Detail oriented and accuracy focused
• Strong communication skills to interact with executives and other senior leaders
• Ability to establish and keep trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with others both within and outside the organization, while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
• Proficiency in Danish is preferred About the department
