We are looking for an experienced leader to join a rapidly growing team responsible for quality related due diligence and integration projects across Novo Nordisk. This exciting new role has been created to facilitate Novo Nordisk commitment to bringing external innovation to patients and scale manufacturing expansions through acquisitions. Together with the team, the VP of Due Diligence, and Integration in Quality will play a central role in ensuring the success of acquisitions and maximising the value of acquired assets – with the quality at the centre.

The VP of Due Diligence and Integration (DD&I Q) is a highly visible position in the global quality organisation. Reporting to the Corporate Vice President, Global Contract Manufacturing, Emerging Technologies and Due Diligence & Integration, VP DD&I Q will collaborate and partner with large number of stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and externally. The VP DD&I Q will set the strategic direction for the area, build up and grow this newly established function and be responsible for successful execution of quality related Due Diligence and Integration activities for Novo Nordisk globally. Leading quality due diligence is one of the key responsibilities of the department. This includes identifying and evaluating risks, providing risk mitigation recommendations, and ensuring sufficient input and internal alignment at acquisition decision point. The other focus area of the department DD&I Q is to define a scalable framework for integration of acquired assets, technology, and companies, and ensure their compliance with Novo Nordisk and health authority requirements. The VP will ensure the reduction of quality related issues in acquired assets and provide continued partnership and support to Business Integration teams. VP DD&I Q will build a fast-growing team, which over time will scale to 50+ people combining direct and indirect reports. The VP will play an active role in coaching and development of their direct team and support the development of DD&I community across Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications To be successful in the role we expect you to have significant experience in research-based global pharmaceutical or biotech organisation coupled a degree in biology, pharmacy, engineering, or another relevant field. You will bring a successful track record leading due diligence and integration projects in a complex fast paced environment. Strong understanding of quality is essential for this role. In addition, knowledge of GCP and GMP guidelines is also required. We would welcome applicants with previous experience in Quality, R&D and Manufacturing. You are a seasoned people leader skilled in managing direct teams, leading through matrix, and managing large number of divers internal and external stakeholders across various parts of the value chain. Comfortable with multicultural environment, you are able to build strong partnerships and find consensus. You are a strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. It is an ideal position for a driven and ambitious leader who is interested in joining a fast growing, daring, innovative team and help us further shape market leading quality organisation for the benefit of patients around the world.
