Get introduced to CMC API Pilots, please visit our career page The Position Our mission is to develop robust and reliable API-processes for clinical trials to support our portfolio of drug candidates in Novo Nordisk. We have focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency to improve the life of the patients. As Pilot Scientist you will drive production campaigns in the facility. Your responsibilities include: Planning, dimensioning, and follow up on daily operation during the campaign as well ensuring completion.
Scientific collaboration towards the process development laboratories in all phases of the planning
Production campaign that includes planning, execution, and evaluation of the process.
Review of batch documentation and release of API
As we are producing according to GMP, we expect a systematic approach problem solving and general solving your tasks, as an important part of handling deviations. You have great opportunities to be involved in interdisciplinary projects, tasks and problem-solving with an opportunity to put your scientific knowledge and process understanding into play. The projects and tasks can be anchored both in the team, the department or cross-functional. The projects can as well be supporting the areas digital strategy. As we are working structured with LEAN it is expected that you are motivated by identifying and implementing improvement projects and changes. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have: A master’s degree or PhD in fields like chemical engineering, Cand. Scient. or similar
Several years of solid experience with protein purification or drying in either pilot or production environment
Worked according to GMP and have a solid compliance mindset
A good insight and understanding for purification process operations and process-facilities within the field of chromatography, TFF filtrations, freeze drying and spray drying
To be successful in this job it is important that you have demonstrated excellent collaboration and communication skills as you are working closely together with colleagues with different scientific background and different stakeholders. You enjoy initiating and solving the tasks that you independently identify or just know need to be done. You can handle to work with more tasks in parallel and keep a solid overview in tense situations. You are very dedicated, and you enjoy driving the tasks and deliver according to the deadlines. As a person you possess a positive mindset, is a team player and have demonstrated that you can motivate your colleagues. About the department Purification Pilot Plants consists of 5 teams, and we are approximately 75 employees. Our task is to scale up processes, purify and dry proteins for toxicological and clinical studies of the Novo Nordisk portfolio. One purification pilot facility is in Gentofte, while the other facilities are in Bagsværd. As we help each other across the teams, there can be an opportunity to take up new challenges and tasks on temporary basis in one of the other facilities.
