The job Your overall objective is to conceive and develop robotic and automation solutions to optimise our manufacturing by means of traditional automation and robotics. As Senior Robotics and Automation Engineer, you will: be responsible for the design and implementation of prototypes and solutions within processes which today are handled manually. No challenge is too big, and you must have a ‘Yes I can’ mindset. act as a robotic/automation resource in projects acting as a Tech lead/WPA (work package owner), give inputs as an expert within your field of expertise or execute PoC projects driven by yourself. be collaborating with suppliers and setting direction for the prototype design after testing, ensuring the right solution and support the final design to be ready for implementation on our global production network and ensuring that the needed technical documentation and requirements are met. As we are supporting our global production network, some travel is expected.
Qualifications You have an innovative mind set and hold an engineering degree in robotics or have obtained extensive knowledge about robotics and automation through your current work. Additionally, you have: An academic degree within robotic and/or automation Engineering or any other relevant field. At least 4 years’ experience creating Robotic and/or automation solutions. A strong technical background within robotics (UR Polyscope, KUKA KRL (Kuka Robot Language, Omron, ROS) and automation, PLC (SCADA, Siemens S7-1200/1500, TIA, Beckhoff, TwinCAT,) Knowledge within communication protocols such as; TCP/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, I/O Link. Fluent in English both oral and written. Experience from the pharmaceutical is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

About the department You will be joining the ‘Test & Automation Development team. We develop, test and implement the newest technologies and most exciting solutions at Novo Nordisk production sites across the world, and we need an extra robotics & automation engineer to help us utilize the benefits of robotics and automation in pharmaceutical production. Your primary working location will be at our Innovation Lab in Bagsværd with close collaboration and support to our Innovation Hub in Kalundborg.
Our mission is to minimise and/or eliminate human interventions during manufacturing of our injectable products by means of robotics and automation solutions. In the team you will work together with automation and robotics engineers and skilled workers.
