The position You will join the API Manufacturing Development, Process Support department being a part of the Fermentation & Recovery Support Team. You can look forward to joining a dynamic and well-functioning team consisting of 8 development scientists and 6 laboratory technicians, who are specialised in providing support to the Novo Nordisk API and enzyme production processes. So, what will be your role? In this position you will be handling: Enzyme manufacturing process optimization Support to enzyme production facilities incl. problem-solving and review of documents Preparation and maintenance of development documentation Preparation and review of scientific rationales and study protocols and reports This job gives you a unique opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders including late-stage development, analysis teams, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, pilot facilities, production facilities, and external partners. Since the role is self-organized to a large extent, it is very important that you can prioritize your work assignments. You can look forward to gaining personal as well as professional development. The role is based in Bagsværd but your primary objective is to support the enzyme manufacturing facilities NNPR in Køge, DK and potentially, in the future, at contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs). Qualifications To succeed in this position, we imagine that you: Have an academic background in biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, engineering or a related field Are preferably experienced or knowledgeable in one or more of the following: Enzyme chemistry, enzyme (protein) recovery and purification, separation techniques like filtration, chromatography, and precipitation Are fluent in English. Ability to read documentation in Danish would be a plus Experience with programming and utilising large data sets for predictive modelling are skills which are preferred but not a prerequisite. On a personal level, you excel in working independently through complex and sometimes demanding workdays. Your strong sense of responsibility and dedication drive you to tackle new assignments and see them through to completion. You are an effective communicator, and you enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders to achieve shared goals. About the department Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (PS API) is responsible for manufacturing of APIs for Novo Nordisk’s products. You will be assigned to PS API Manufacturing Development (MDev), a cross-functional area that works at the interface between R&D and full-scale manufacturing with a focus on process understanding, implementation and optimisation. The department, MDev Process Support, consists of approx. 104 employees distributed into 6 teams. The department is in Bagsværd, but also has offices in Kalundborg, and Gentofte.
