The position As Senior Treasury Manager for North America, you will have the responsibility for managing all treasury related activities in the U.S. and Canadian affiliates in accordance with Corporate Treasury’s strategy. You will be in charge of: Ensuring high quality US and Canadian cash flow and rebate forecasts providing you with an in-depth insight of the underlying business trends driving the cash generation Being the person leading any funding or repatriation of excess cash from the US and Canadian affiliates and supporting Novo Nordisk’s M&A agenda for any acquisitions in the US or Canada Managing the US trade receivable program and the broader US and Canadian bank relationship Partnering cross-functionally with the NNI Finance teams to manage key strategic processes including the budget processes, quarterly and yearly closing, and driving projects aligned with the NNI finance strategy There will be continual interaction with line of business and senior stakeholders in both North America and Head Quarter functions. Qualifications As a successful candidate you have: Strong academic background, e.g. an MSc in Economics or Finance Extensive relevant experience from an international company or the financial sector Excellent communication skills, with ability to make complexities easy to comprehend Fluency in written and spoken English Solid analytical and financial skills, along with curiosity about financial markets and products On a personal level, you have a strategic mind-set and are an ambitious team player with strong collaboration skills, enabling you to work efficiently across functions and geographical boarders. Additionally, you have the capacity to manage projects and deadlines while working independently.
About the department Corporate Treasury is globally responsible for managing Novo Nordisk’s cash and liquidity making sure that sufficient cash is available for both internal and external investments. To protect the cash as well as the profit from negative impacts, Treasury handles and mitigates financial risks, with a key focus on currency exposure, both on a group level and locally in partnership with the affiliates across the world. People are Treasury’s core asset and consequently we have a strong focus on people development. Novo Nordisk has several affiliates in North America supporting sales, production and research and development. You will be based in Novo Nordisk Inc, Novo Nordisk’s sales affiliate in Princeton, New Jersey. You will be part of the Novo Nordisk US finance organisation, reporting to Senior Director, NAO Business Partner. Due to the strategic importance for treasury of the position, the Senior Treasury Manager will also be an integrated member of the Corporate Treasury team based in Denmark, having a functional reporting line to the Director of Global Financial Risk at Novo Nordisk A/S.
