Can you ensure best in class usability and human factors engineering?
In LEO Pharma we have set the very ambitious goal to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. In support of this ambition we aim to develop new, innovative medical devices, and that is why we need you to help us take the next important leap forward. You will join a small and growing team of specialists that have created a good foundation of knowledge, methods and processes within usability. You will work hands-on with exciting projects like needle free injection while you at the same time play a pivotal role in further shaping the framework for usability and human factors engineering in LEO Pharma.
Development of user centric devices and packaging solutions
Basically, your job is to enable LEO Pharma to develop products with maximum benefit for the users. You will focus on development of future, innovative injection devices – some possibly including connectivity. You are a key link between patient knowledge and product realisation, ensuring formally demonstrated and documented safe and effective use of the products by intended users. You will:
Handle own project deliverables – incl. management of a great number of stakeholders Coordinate and manage external partners Contribute to development of the future setup for usability and human factors engineering Coach and develop less experienced colleagues
5+ years’ experience from working with development of medical devices
You will both work hands-on and make things happen via colleagues and external partners. You must be very outgoing and have the ability to identify and include the right stakeholders at the right time. This calls for your collaboration, coordination and communication skills – including presenting your conclusions and recommendations in an easy understandable way. Additionally your CV comprises:
A university degree as Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, UX Engineer or the like 5+ years’ experience from working with development of medical devices Solid experience within usability and human factors engineering Preferably regulatory experience (FDA) and experience with drug-device combination products Ideally, you have experience from big pharma/bigger corporations where you have learned how to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape.
Injection devices – your new team
You will join 7 skilled colleagues in Injection Devices based at LEO Pharma’s HQ in Ballerup, reporting to the Senior Manager of the department – with additionally min. 5 new colleagues to be hired primo 2020, you included. Our responsibility covers product solutions across medical devices, drug-device combination products and device constituent parts from early ideation to maintenance of marketed products.
The ambition is to grow as LEO Pharma is developing and expanding the presence in the injectable biologics area. We see the sky as the limit, and we are basically ready to go wherever our opportunities might take us.
