Ambu is looking for a Clinical Application Specialist who is eager to take responsibility to ensure that the clinical insights for Ambu’s high quality product portfolio is used to drive and support product innovation. The position is a 12-month temporary maternity cover, starting October or November 2020.

The Clinical Application Team serves as a clinical knowledge bank across multiple Ambu business sectors whereby clinical input primarily services internal colleagues from our Global Innovation department. We offer a challenging position where you will play an important role in facilitating knowledge sharing and clinical expertise within our research and innovation teams. You will be instrumental in ensuring future innovation meets real world clinical needs.
You will join the growing Global Clinical Affairs department divided into: Clinical Research, Post Market Clinical Development and Clinical Operations. Most of us are based at Ambu Headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, but we also have colleagues based at our site in Malaysia, in Germany, and in the Clinical Operations department in the US. As a Clinical Application Specialist, you will be placed in the Clinical Applications Team, a division of Clinical Research. The application team also has a close collaboration with external medical consultants which are used on a regular basis. You will be reporting to the Clinical Applications Team Manager placed in Ballerup.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be To
• Research and advise innovation project activities related to clinical applications within anesthesia, airway management, Ear-Nose-Throat, pulmonology, cardiology and neurology
• Support with clinical expert knowledge in maintenance activities
• Prepare/assist with clinical expert reviews of clinical medical device documentation
• Stay updated and abreast within the afore mentioned fields of clinical research and education
• Identify emerging clinical trends and clinical practice changes that may impact product development
To succeed, you will have the following background
You possess a unique level of clinical competences by holding a Medical Doctorate degree or a Post graduate degree in nursing. You have a minimum of 2 years of endoscopic experience preferably within anesthesia, airway management or Ear-Nose-Throat, or alternatively a rich background in patient monitoring and diagnostics, namely cardiology and/or neurology.
As a person, you are open-minded, and possess good collaboration skills. You take clear ownership of your responsibilities and you are motivated by high targets and efficient in running clinical medical device tasks. As this is a very independent job, you must be good at prioritizing, planning and completing your workload. Based on your unique level of clinical competences you are good at making accurate judgments and decisions. As the company is growing rapidly acting as a champion for change, displaying creativity and driving continuous improvements is of high importance.
Furthermore, it is important that you are proactive in searching knowledge outside of Ambu, within your own professional network, and from scientific literature. You must be good at initiating and maintaining a wide range of contacts and working together with external clinical professionals.
We expect you to have excellent collaboration and communication skills, and that you are fluent in written and oral English.
