Student assistant position available in LEO Pharma Open Innovation & Alliance Management
We’ve been doing things a little differently around here, and we’d like to continue to do so. LEO Pharma Open Innovation is a truly unique and successful collaboration initiative that reaches out to partners all over the world by sharing pharmaceutical science and creating collaboration opportunities.
Innovation is vital for us to bring new treatments to those with a skin disease, more quickly and more efficiently than ever before. Not everything can happen inside our four walls, so by opening up, we’re reaching out to explore science together with the smartest minds outside of LEO Pharma. Do you want to be a part of our team? Then join us as a student assistant. We are looking for a talented, creative, and systematic student who can help facilitate and improve our science communication and engagement efforts, as well as helping us manage some of our processes.
The job
As our student assistant you will play an important role in empowering the Open Innovation (OI) team to reach out to potential partners all over the world using social media. In your role you will create content to promote our open innovation research platform externally using social media postings. You will also assist our Alliance Management (AM) team with keeping track of LEO’s academic collaborations and key activities.
Your profile
You are a student, who is enrolled in a bachelor or master program, and has at least 1 (preferably 2) years left of your studies. You are also someone who can bridge the life sciences and marketing/communication/branding sectors. You have a good understanding of digital communication, some knowledge of the life sciences sector and creativity to think outside the box.

We are offering an exciting and intellectually stimulating working environment and flexible working hours with an average time commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
Assignment for the application:
To help us better understand who you are, we are asking you to submit a small example of science communication.
The task is to submit a visual illustration that is suitable as a LEO Pharma Open Innovation LinkedIn post, showcasing the molecule SGC-CBP30 and its scientific potential and promoting our research platform. This molecule is active in one of the anti-inflammatory models that we offer in open innovation. Consider the balance between attracting attention and scientific rigor. You must include this image as a suitable upload in your online application.

- Generate ideas for what to post on social media and when
- Create content on LinkedIn and Twitter via Hootsuite
- Maintain the social media accounts for OI, including monitoring
- Update our database for academic collaborations and notify key people when needed
- Create content for internal newsletters
- Assist ad hoc in operational aspects of OI and AM
The ideal candidate has:
- Scientific writing or publication experience in English
- A documented flare for digital communication
- A systematic and can-do approach to tasks
- A basic understanding of science and pharmaceutical R&D
- Image editing skills, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Thorough and an eye for details
- Fearless attitude when it comes to learning new skills and tools as you go
