Develop the team, ensure job satisfaction and direction across projects
Your focus is to enable development of injectable treatments with user friendly injection solutions based on thorough user and stakeholder understanding. As part of the area’s leadership team and reporting to the Director of the area, you will be the manager of the Injection Devices department. You will ensure alignment with the overall strategy across projects involving multiple external partners. Your primary tasks will be to:
- Lead, motivate and further develop the team of skilled specialists working in different projects
- Support the team in continuously improving ways of working
- Enhance your team’s collaboration across departments and areas in LEO Pharma and with external partners
- Contribute to strategy optimisation and set direction for the team
Your team covers below areas of specialities, in close collaboration with external partners:
- Design Controls
- User research and involvement
- Human factors engineering and usability studies
- Product risk management
- Design verification and validation
- Design for manufacturing
- Design transfer
To succeed, you will dedicate most of your time to people management in a constantly evolving organization. As such, you will need everything you have learned in order to support and motivate people, as individuals and as a team.
Positive people manager with experience across pharma and medical device industry
We are first and foremost looking for a genuine team leader – a profile that finds profound satisfaction in enabling other people to be their very best. This calls for your communication skills and your ability to tailor your coaching with due respect to professional and personal differences. You must also be a change agent that can remain steady and lead the team with a clear direction towards our overall company strategy even if the road feels rocky.
Additionally, your CV comprises:
- Preferably a Masters / PhD. degree in Engineering / Natural science
- 10+ years’ experience across pharma and/or medical device industry
- 5+ years’ experience as people manager – and high motivation for engaging people leadership
The following is regarded as key assets for an applicant
- Solid understanding of medical device development processes from early development to product launch
- Practical experience with drug-device combination products, particularly injection devices, and related regulation e.g., ISO13485, 21CFR Part 820, ISO14971, EN62366, 21CFR Part 4, 210, 211.
Injection Devices – your new team
You will join 9 skilled colleagues in Injection Devices based at LEO Pharma’s HQ in Ballerup.
Our responsibility covers drug-device combination products from early development to registration and transfer to commercial scale manufacturing. In close collaboration with external partners, we develop mature solutions to ensure they match LEO Pharma’s specific patient populations and drug-products. The ambition is to grow as LEO Pharma is developing and expanding the presence in the injectable biologics area. We see the sky as the limit, and we are basically ready to go wherever our opportunities might take us.
