About the team and role

Tryg’s IT organization is named Business IT & Digitalisation (BID) - our team People & Communication is based here. The team consists of five colleagues – four full-time employees and one student worker. Our current Communications Specialist will start Master’s Thesis studies in September 2023, which is why we are looking for a new colleague who is ready to take over the position. Great, if you can start August 2023, so we can provide a smooth onboarding- and handover process.

People & Communication drive the talent and culture agenda including communication across the Nordics. As Communications Specialist, you will be the primary responsible for ensuring all communication tasks. Our team is acting as a single point of contact for communication in BID to ensure transparency, commitment & engagement enabling the IT strategy, mindset, and culture. We do this through articles, planning and facilitating meetings, updating our intranet, and posting latest news on internal and external channels including LinkedIn presence with employer branding in focus.

Frequent and ongoing communication activities are closely connected to the BID Leadership team as well as communication regarding our most important strategic themes requires a close connection with Program Managers, Project Managers, and People Managers. With that said, our primary stakeholders are basically everyone in BID who has a communication need – from executive management to our IT Specialists across the Nordics. We also have a close and trusted collaboration with Tryg internal communication, enabling the link between BID and Tryg.

Your core tasks as Communications Specialist will be:

  • Strategic Communication around our four strategic themes in BID & Tryg – this includes hunting the good stories in BID, interacting with people, and being able to communicate and “translate” tech stories, so they are communicable.
  • Keep developing our communication strategy towards a broader Nordic, diverse, and inclusive communication focus across BID.
  • Drive and facilitate activities in the yearly communication plan such as common meetings for the entire BID organization, online Morning Boosters every month and
  • Frequently posting news and updates on our intranet and provide relevant LinkedIn content.

When we succeed, our stakeholders experience us as professional communication partners that help them make their key messages alive and accessible. Our colleagues in BID feel that they are timely informed, that their knowledge about the organization is extended and they feel united and connected to the organization.

About you

We are open to different educational backgrounds, but we expect that you bring in-depth knowledge of how to execute a communication plan, create good stories, can keep an overview, and can navigate between many tasks. Also, it will be a high advantage if you like IT, are creative and love to bring your ideas into play. Business understanding and empathy are essential to bring development, operation, security, and business closer together.

Because you will be working with different stakeholders across the IT organization, we feel that it is important that you possess strong communication skills, can adapt to changing settings and deadlines, and are equally professional in solving tasks for our CIO or one of your colleagues in IT. You will be part of a smaller team but will be responsible for your own tasks and solving from A to Z. Therefore, it’s important that you thrive in the combination between teamwork and individual work. It’s a requirement that you are capable of speaking as well as writing Danish and English at a professional level.
