The Role:
The Purpose of the role as Control and safety System Site Engineer for the project, is related to all project and on-Site activities ranging from HSE, design, installation, quality assurance/control, inspection, testing, commissioning, documentation and follow up of progress and general performance of the Contractor and Sub Contractors.

HSE is considered as a core value within the Baltic Pipe project and it is expected that the Site Engineer will actively engage in all HSE activities. The Site Engineer shall act and be seen as an HSE Champion at Site.

The role will include review and commenting of Contractors design and procurement activities. Input to criticality rating of various components used in the plant and ITP inspections performed at more locations and at Site.

Further, the role will include planning and execution of quality control activities to be performed at Site within own discipline in coordination with the Site Manager.

Workplace:
Workplace for the role as the Control and Safety System Site Engineer will be at the site facility at the Nybro terminal located at Nybrovej 185, 6851 Janderup.

Working Hours:
The weekly working hours are 37 hours, exclusive of a 30 minutes daily lunch break.
The hours laid out are primarily - Monday to Friday in the span 7:00 to 17:30.

Employment duration:
The employment will be from November 2020 until project completion expected to be Q1 2022.

Activities:
  • Actively participate and support client HSE requirements.
  • Ensure that specifications and procedures are followed.
  • Close cooperation with the Site Manager and support other team member in their work at Site.
  • Work in close cooperation and under the instruction of the Site Manager ensuring correct progress reporting, cost, quality and risk.
  • Close cooperation with the Site Manager ensuring correct planning and execution of the quality control of the Contractor performance.
  • Close cooperation with the Site Manager ensuring the interfaces between all parties at the project Site are highlighted and dealt.
  • Participate in progress, engineering and Site meetings with the Suppliers, Contractors, Sub-Contractors and be responsible for developing minutes from meetings when required.
  • Be responsible for all Site deliverables within discipline ensuring the correct quality.
  • Be responsible for all follow-up of the quality assurance, testing and inspections within discipline performed at Site.
  • Be responsible for all follow-up of Contractors testing, pre-commissioning and final commissioning activities within discipline performed at Site.
  • Be responsible for all follow up of Contractors as-built documentation.
  • Close cooperation with the Site Manager ensuring the As-build documentation including all operation manuals.
  • Manage and coordinate the integrated control and safety system integration to the existing Nybro plant system.

Desired competences for the candidate:
  • A high degree of technical understanding, preferably by hands on experience in operation, modification, maintenance, upgrade and implementation of control and safety systems at adjacent brownfield facilities
  • Academic education by a degree as electrical, Control/ Safety/ Automation Engineer. Long and relevant project experience may compensate for the educational requirements.
  • Have experience within the Energy industry. Preferred experience coming from Gas infrastructure, Oil & Gas facilities, Refinery or Power Plant.
  • Experience with international overseas projects, Suppliers and Partners either as Employer/project owner or Contractor.
  • Technical knowledge related to operation and maintenance of integrated control and safety systems at energy industry plant.
  • Technical knowledge related to fire and gas system engineering and design relevant for integrated control and safety systems.
  • Technical knowledge related to process and instrumentation diagram and cause and effect diagrams relevant for integrated control and safety systems.
  • Technical knowledge related to safety requirement specification and safety instrumented system/ function relevant for integrated control and safety systems.
  • Technical knowledge related to safety integrity level and functional safety management relevant for integrated control and safety systems.
  • Experience with ABB and Honeywell control and safety systems.
  • Experience with standards, regulation and requirements for integrated control and safety systems.
  • Experience with energy industry process systems including equipment such as metering, heat exchanger, filter equipment, pressure vessels and shutdown / control valves.
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality control relevant for control and safety systems.

Language:
  • Corporate language is Danish.
  • Project Language is English, which shall be mastered both verbally and in writing.
