Your first long-term assignment will be to act as Ramboll’s Site Manager for the construction of the Quantafuel chemical recycling plant in Esbjerg, Denmark. To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience as project/construction manager and a systematic and practical ‘hands-on’ approach. You will join our Construction Management team
As our new Construction Site Manager, you will be part of our Construction Management Team at our Esbjerg office, which is part of the department for large, multidisciplinary energy projects. The department executes large-scale projects for clients in the traditional energy sector, as well as renewables. As our new Construction Site Manager, you will become part of a team of 5 people, who are specialised in construction management for the off- an onshore industry.
In your daily work you will be assigned to a specific project, and you will form part of the project leadership team taking full responsibility for planning and execution of all on-site activities. In this central role you will have many internal and external stakeholders as you must relate to the client, to our engineering staff, to contracted site staff and to subcontractors. Your main workplace is the Esbjerg office, but typically you will also spend a good deal of your time on site. We promote an open and informal working environment in the office, and we offer great flexibility including a working-from-home option.

- Lead the construction management team / site organization on large-scale brownfield and greenfield construction projects in the energy sector
- Form part of the overall project management team
- Form integrated part of the project team from early engineering phase to final site completion
- Prepare and mature construction plan
- Support to maturing commissioning plan
- Evaluate and select manpower subcontractors
- Control subcontractor staff and deliverables (job card level)
- Planning of daily activities with respect to safety and efficiency

- +15 years’ project management experience from industrial projects within power generation, oil-gas, chemical or industrial process facilities
- Min 5 years’ experience as site manager
- Technical education/background
- Solid multi-trade understanding (civil, process facility, completion, start-up)
- Mechanical completion experience (end-to-end) incl. commissioning of facility
- Experience from the energy and/or process facility industry
- Turnkey experience
- Certified in Arbejdsmiljøuddannelse §9 or similar
- Proficient in Danish and English – other language skills are regarded as a plus
