Sales Offshore Operations Operations Centre
The Offshore Remote Operations Centre, based in Esbjerg Denmark, is the department responsible for providing a central point of contact for technical support for Vestas' offshore turbine fleet. The Operator is considered as 1st tier technical support, which means that you will be the first point of contact for your service team colleagues operating offshore when they have technical issues.
You will be part of a team of six colleagues where you take shifts covering 24/7 all year. You will be working on your own for 8 hour shifts, and it is important that you are available, as your support is crucial to your colleagues in the field. You will be responsible for the initial troubleshooting and taking action to pass on the issue if you can not resolve it.

Sales Offshore Operations Operations Centre

Responsibilities:
- Remote monitoring of offshore Wind Turbine Generators
- Support reactive operation of offshore Wind Turbine Generators
- Support to field operations via remote operation of Wind Turbine Generators
- Support to SCADA e.g. follow-up on SCADA events with Performance and Diagnostics
- Support to power regulations and substation/grid maintenance
- Coordinate execution of ad-hoc STOP/START/ yaw Wind Turbine Generator requests
- Initiate reporting towards site and assist in compiling fault reports
Qualifications:
- Holds an engineering background within Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- If you have Wind Turbine Generator field troubleshooting experience, and has knowledge of and practical experience with SCADA tools it is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
- Are a confident user of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Are willing to travel between Aarhus and Esbjerg on occasion
- Are able and willing to work afternoon and nightshifts
- Are able to fluently communicate in English
Competencies:
To become a great Operator, you should:
- Be able to work with various stakeholders with very different personalities and levels of expertise
- Be able to adapt to many different styles and levels of communication
- Have a structured approach to your work, and be professional enough to ensure that structures and rules are adhered to in the Operations Centre
