Key Responsibilities
As a Security & Emerg. Preparedness Advisor in the HSE Department, you will be able to shape and develop a central role with great influence in providing specialist advice and drive implementation of security, emergency preparedness, oil spill response and business continuity plans and programs, processes, procedures, and initiatives within TEPDK. This is with the possibility to continuously learn and develop your competencies in ensuring that all required emergency response plans are in place and are operationally functional. You will get to use your knowledge and experience applying a range of techniques when you ensure - before decision is made - that safety, economic and commercial evaluation is carried out in order to ensure optimal dispositions.
Overall, you have the responsibility of observing company values at any time and in all matters. You are the one to ensure that offshore and onshore emergency response team members are trained and assessed as competent in order to meet their emergency response role / position requirements. Furthermore, you will ensure that all activities are performed in a cost-effective manner. You will also Advising on all security incidents and managing relations with the local security forces. Finally, you are responsible for supporting collaboration and integration across projects, departments and locations and accelerate learning and knowledge sharing.

These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:
- Liaise with local emergency response, mutual aid organizations and neighboring facilities as required to assist in enhancing emergency preparedness capabilities.
- Arrange and coordinate training, drills, and exercises in order to ensure that the TEPDK maintains robust capabilities; coordinate after-action reviews in order to promote continuous improvement.
- Serve as the coordinator for the onshore Tier 2 response team in order to guarantee the availability of qualified emergency responders in order to meet the full range of response requirements.
- Regularly assess operational risks within the organization and ensure adequate preparedness to respond to and mitigate such risks.
- Regularly assess the adequacy and effectiveness of security, emergency preparedness, and business continuity programs, processes, procedures and initiatives being implemented offshore (Tier 1) and onshore (Tier 2)in order to ensure corrective action plans are developed and followed up as required.
- Act as an on-site technical resource to incident commanders and crews responding to emergencies (spills, fires, etc.) as required and requested.
- Monitor industry best practices by participating in external and emergency response committees and exercises, monitoring industry trends, and researching and identifying new ER technologies, equipment and materials.
- Maintain focus on technical excellence and innovation.
- Ensure that all information, written as well as verbal, concerning the company is treated confidentially.
- Continue effective daily execution and optimization of activities, whilst seeking and utilizing global synergies and economies of scale.
