Semco Maritime is looking for an experienced FEA calculation specialist within the structural and mechanical disciplines playing an important role in the growth of the Structural & Mechanical Engineering team.

You will join an experienced engineering team of highly skilled colleagues and will report to the team manager. You will work closely together with project managers, calculation specialists, engineers, designers and the fabrication team in Esbjerg to combine our extensive experience from both engineering and fabrication to the benefits of our clients.

Key responsibilities
You will be a valued addition to our team working with all phases of EPC projects. The key tasks include:

  • FEED studies and Design Basis
  • Concept development
  • Load Calculations
  • Detail design of steel structures and mechanical solutions
  • FEA and analytical calculations
  • Design documentation
  • Quality control
  • Technical discussions with client and 3rd parties
  • Mentoring young engineers and designers
  • Cooperation with fabrication team

The work will include onshore / offshore travelling with an expected 10-15 travel days per year.

Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in structural, mechanical or marine engineering, preferable with knowledge from the wind industry. You have min. 5 years of experience with FEA calculations using ANSYS with solid experience in both static, dynamic and fatigue calculations.

You are fluent in English both in verbal and writing. You take pride in setting your standards high and know the importance of having the right safety mindset. Besides, you believe that success is only achieved through dedicated teamwork.
