Your position
At Semco Maritime, you will join the Purchasing team in the Oil & Gas division, whose mission is to efficiently plan, procure and manage spend for energy projects in the Oil & Gas industry. Not only will you play a vital role in supporting your colleagues in tasks related to purchasing, but you will also have the unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into various aspects of the company's operations and gain a comprehensive understanding of all business functions in a global organisation.

Your tasks & responsibilities
Your role will include a wide range of tasks related purchasing. Most importantly, you will act as a vital support to the department and contribute to ensuring the high quality we deliver. As you evolve within the role, you will also have the opportunity to shape your tasks based on your emerging interests.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with purchase orders
- Expediting orders and matching invoices prior to payment
- Collaborating and coordinating with internal and external project team members such as subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Receiving, registering, storing and distributing all incoming documents and correspondences related to procurement in IT systems
- Ad-hoc tasks related to purchasing
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a curious individual who has a desire to learn about all aspects of the purchasing function. You are structured, reliable and service-oriented - and eager to improve your business understanding.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you:
- Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Are comfortable with English, written and spoken
- Can work 10-20 hours a week during regular business hours
