If you are an open-minded and self-propelled Application Specialist professional with a passion for training customers about new and existing products in the Diagnostics or Life Sciences industry, this role may be perfect for you.
The position is based in Denmark, and you will be working remotely from home. However, up to 40% of your time will be required for traveling within the Nordic region.
As Application Specialist at The Binding Site, you are responsible for training the customers regarding updates on software and the use of instruments across the customer segment in the Nordic region.
You will report directly to the General Manager of the Nordics based in Finland and join the Nordic Team. In addition, you will be working closely with Application Specialists located around the world with a primary contact to colleagues at the HQ in the UK. You will also have a close collaboration with the Commercial Manager located in Denmark.
You will spend approx. 10% of your time as a quality representative with the responsibility of making sure that documentation is up to date and that procedures are in place. In order to fulfill this role, you will work closely with the international Quality and Regulatory team at HQ.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Using problem solving and analytical skills to assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and enquiries
- Supporting and advising sales, marketing, and technical specialists to identify risks and manage complaints
- Creating and maintaining technical support literature and training materials
- Training and supporting end users, sales, and marketing staff
- Developing and maintaining good working and customer relationships within the Nordic countries
- Conducting technical presentations/ training sessions both in-house and offsite to educate and support customers in the optimal use of Binding Site analyzers, assays, and protocols
- Communicating to line manager, sales and support colleagues advised of any issues and support needs
- You have a science-related degree, e.g. Medical Technologist (Lab Tech), Biochemical Engineer Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, or Laboratory technician
- You may have 3-5 years of experience within healthcare or life sciences; however, this is not a requirement
- You may have previous experience from a laboratory
- You are able to travel on short notice within the Nordic region
- You are willing to learn and develop your skill set
- You seek to deliver first-class customer support
- You have a good level of English, both written and spoken, and one of the Nordic languages as your native tongue
