The position
This position as Project Manager for PAT Implementation is a unique opportunity where you will be responsible for managing cross-organizational PAT projects with the main aim of designing and implementing PAT in operations. You will work closely together with the PAT specialists, process teams, IT/OT organization, and quality across our manufacturing sites.

About the department
You will be joining AP Expansions, which stands for expansions of Aseptic Production (AP). The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.
AP Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. AP Expansions has a clearly global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
The Instant Release team are dedicated to enabling a future where products have been reviewed and released as units leave the line including QC testing. The introduction of process analytic technology (PAT) is a cornerstone of this ambition.

The position
This position as Project Manager for PAT Implementation is a unique opportunity where you will be responsible for managing cross-organizational PAT projects with the main aim of designing and implementing PAT in operations. You will work closely together with the PAT specialists, process teams, IT/OT organization, and quality across our manufacturing sites.
Areas of responsibility will include:
- Manage cross-function project dedicated to implementing PAT in operations.
- Liaise, where necessary, with key stakeholders such as process engineers, data modelers, analytical scientists, quality assurance and PAT vendors.
- Facilitating and owning operational risk assessment.
- Ensure standards are being followed and continuously updated based on new experiences with PAT.
- Support and impact the organizational journey and change management process, that we are faced with due to the implementation of new technologies.
You will have the opportunity manage and collaborate with various stakeholders in a changing environment, to work towards a common and aligned goals.
Qualifications
Your experiences include:
- An academic background, probably within science, engineering, or a similar scientific field.
- Experience with PAT from development or production.
- 3+ years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical or similar industry.
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate complex content in a simplistic way.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
