We are looking for a QC chemist for a 24 months temporary position with the possibility of permanent employment.

About the department

The QC department consists of 100 skilled employees in six teams. We perform analysis on finished product, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), stability samples and experimental samples on all products in Biotech & Rare Disease. The department is rapidly evolving and on a digitalised journey, and you will work with many exciting tasks and challenges and with great opportunities for professional and personal development. You will be part of the BIO2 team, which is a team with an extensive analysis and product portfolio and with a focus on optimization. You will be welcomed by 15 colleagues (technicians and chemists) working closely together and always helping each other.

The position

You will work closely with the chemists and laboratory technicians within the department and be responsible for various biological and chemical analysis securing timely delivery of analytical results and providing support to our stakeholders. You will work with laboratory investigations, deviations, update of standard operating procedures (SOP´s) using LEAN principles including systematic problem solving.

Furthermore, you will be required to drive improvement projects, analysis optimization and equipment qualification primarily within the team but also across the department.

You will also support the laboratory technicians in their daily operations and ensure that the analytical performance and equipment live up to industry standards and cGMP. You can look forward to an exciting and varied working day where you have influence on your work and responsibility for ensuring that the team reach their targets. This could also be your opportunity to build a strong network within Novo Nordisk while developing your skills further.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or another relevant field within the Natural Sciences. Furthermore, you have some experience in laboratory or in any other GMP regulated environment. Experience working in pharmaceutical industry and knowledge within biological and chemical analysis is an added advantage.

On a personal level you have a quality mindset and are a team player possessing good communication and collaboration skills combined with a structured way of working and ability to work independently. Moreover, you have a high level of energy to drive yourself and your colleagues forward along with being result oriented and taking pride in delivering on your milestones.

Above all, you keep a sense of perspective and a good sense of humour in a busy working environment thereby being agile to changes and having a positive attitude to make difference by challenging the status quo. Lastly, you must have good fluency in written and spoken Danish.
