The position
With this position, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing and performing cost management, forecast processes, and manage company impressive financial resources. You will be part of the newly established Programme Office, where you will join our Programme controls team and report directly to the Senior Manager. Programme controls is responsible for all aspects of programme and project controls such as cost, risk, scope, scheduling and related processes.
Your main responsibilities are:
• Establish, monitor, and execute cost control, progress reporting and forecast spending
• Ensure solid on-going cost control and cost management by collaborating closely with the project teams across the global sites and centrally
• Report and present the cost performance to management
• Be part of designing the cost management solution and implement it across the programme (Oracle Aconex)
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you need to hold master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or similar major and have proven 3-5 years of experience within the area of project controlling and finance. Prior experience with cost estimation, controlling or cost engineering from large capex projects would be advantageous. Good communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English are required.
Additionally, it is desirable that you have:
• A good understanding of a project life cycle and in-depth practical knowledge in executing step-by-step cost controlling or cost management
• Experience in creating and forecasting large project budgets/cost over several year
• Knowledge of project management software (such as Oracle Aconex, Omega PIMS or similar)
• Experience in Tableau/Alteryx to set up reports
• Ability to work with multiple data sources
We expect you to be used to work independently with reporting, have a flair for processing large amounts of data, are curious to understand the project and business behind the numbers, and think both strategically and tactically when analysing and forecasting costs.
As a person, you need to have a high personal integrity, you can manage interpersonal relations well and deliver excellent results.
About the department
You will be joining AP Expansions, which stands for expansions of Aseptic Production (AP). The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.
AP Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacities across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. AP Expansions has a strong global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
