The position In Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, Denmark, to meet the future needs of our growing product pipeline. We are looking for an Infrastructure and Network Engineer working in a project team, developing and maintaining the infrastructure for our process control system DCS (DeltaV) incl. the HyperV platform for future API production together with other experienced engineers. You will play a central role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure while ensuring the stability and support of our production. In this position, you will primarily work with the infrastructure for DeltaV and integrated systems, including PAS-X, OSI soft PI Historian and other vendor-provided equipment, in close collaboration with the Global IT organization. As Infrastructure and Network Engineer for PCS you will understand the API production process and you will ensure uptime and reliability of DCS infrastructure. You will also develop and maintain of disaster recovery plans. To sum up, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Development of the data-driven architecture in close collaboration with data architects, process responsible etc.
  • Maintaining and updating the system infrastructure including software and interfaces
  • Supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshoot and testing system deviations in production
  • Contributing to the efficient execution of our manufacturing processes when the end of the project, and the facility enters production
  • Qualifying & documenting the changes in the system and ensuring QA Department approvals. Collaborating with operators and supporters to analyse and identify possible optimizations
  • Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, Data technician or similar.
  • Experience from working within production support, preferably knowledge of API in a GMP-regulated environment. Preferable experience with validation/qualification.
  • Cisco Certified network associate certificate or similar.
  • General knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control system) systems and industrial communications and specific knowledge about on-premises Hardware platforms (preferably HCI Hyperconverged infrastructure) i systems.
  • Experience working with, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows systems, Active Directory and HyperV (or other hypervisors) and experience with patch management, backup and restore processes.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.

About the department Our team is part of the BRD Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Denmark Area located in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes (this includes cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying), which requires a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees.
