Do you want to work with biological analysis, optimization and problem solving, in an ambitious GMP Environment? Would you like to help us analyze products for Novo Nordisk Biotech and Rare Disease (BRD)? And do you want to bring our laboratory to a future state with paperless, digital and automated processes? Then you may be our new chemist in our department BRD QC Gentofte. About the department BRD QC Gentofte, is a department in BRD QC and consist of approx. 100 talented colleagues organized in 6 teams, 3 HPLC teams and 3 Biological teams. We are looking for a new Chemist in our Biological team 1. We have 18 dedicated employees in the team (12 laboratory technicians and 6 chemists). The department is responsible for the analytical results for BRD’s products, for both in-process, API, drug product and stability samples. Currently we are generating results for 7 marketed products. The job As a Chemist in our Biological team, you will be responsible for one or more of our analytical methods e.g. ELISA, SDS-page or Enzyme kinetic assay and the associated analytical software e.g. Magellan or Gen5. You will also work with our Biomek i7 robots on how to automate our analytical methods. Optimization and problem solving using the LEAN principles is a key part of the job together with approval and release of analytical results, preparation of analytical instructions, participation in authorities inspections, reports, deviations and change request. Moreover, you will be expected to contribute to ongoing optimization of our existing processes. This also entails being curious about how other teams and departments work, both within and outside Novo Nordisk. In Novo Nordisk we are on a journey of digitalizing our QC laboratories e.g., by introducing automated processes and connecting laboratory equipment to LIMS in order to support a paperless future. You are expected to contribute to this journey by being curious on new and innovative solutions and secure successful implementation. Qualifications • You are a chemist, pharmacist, engineer, or similar, possibly with experience from a QC function in the pharmaceutical industry, but this is not a requirement. • You are used to work in accordance with cGMP, can work in a structured manner and you deliver to an agreed deadline. • You are curious by nature, challenge new problems and capable of working both independently and in teams. • You have strong communication skills both in spoken and written Danish and English. As a professional, you embrace new ideas and changes and are not afraid to take lead and bring new solutions, processes, and improvements forward. You are a strong communicator, and you find it natural to establish new relationships across teams and departments. Finally, you have a quality mindset and a sharp eye for details that you apply when needed.
