Project Manager – Industrial Utility & HVAC Does your motivation come from challenges and working in a dynamic international environment? If you have a strong technical background within Industrial Utility & HVAC systems, then you might be the Project Manager we are looking for. You will be part of the Utility team of 12-15 highly specialized professionals, specialist, and project managers within the new SVP area ‘Fill & Finish Expansions’ for major capacity expansion projects. The success of your work will be vital to the success of our SVP area and Novo Nordisk. The position As a Project Manager in the utility team, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and effective communication skills to ensure a well-defined and smoothly executed design and operating principles on a global scale. You will leverage your collaborative abilities to liaise with multiple stakeholders and develop effective solutions, considering various limitations and factors. Your primary focus will be to drive forward projects within the domain of Industrial Utility & HVAC with the key objective of delivering a world-class solution through innovative and time-bound approaches. To accomplish this, you will showcase your ability to lead the work package owners (WPO) and subject matter experts (SME) while building strong relationships with international stakeholders and leveraging their diverse knowledge and experiences. Moreover, you will utilize your expertise in aseptic production technology to develop state-of-the-art solutions to meet our high standards across all our global fill & finish sites, ultimately driving efficient and sustainable operations for many years to come. You will be entrusted with the below responsibilities:
  • Lead the process to achieve key strategic decisions with your team
  • Manage projects within your work package, including design solutions integrated with production processes, building, and utilities while adhering to aseptic standards
  • Collaborate with global Fill & Finish sites and suppliers for smooth project execution
  • Secure deliverables aligning with local aseptic standards and authority requirements in partnership with global engineering partners
  • Ensure the utility team has competent resources and plan global workshops and supervision, as well as support in FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
  • This role will require coordination and alignment with local and global stakeholders in agile project management, with 30-40 days of travel expected. Effective communication and collaborative skills will be essential to achieve project objectives across the organization.
    Qualifications To succeed in this role, you:
  • Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or higher education in Process or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in design, maintenance, and validation of Industrial Utility & HVAC in a GMP environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with the SRV validation concept
  • Strong communication skills with cross-cultural awareness and fluency in English. Ability in Danish, French, or Chinese is a plus, as occasional travel to China, USA and Europe may be required.

About the department Engineering & Facility is a department in the newly created SVP area of Fill Finish Expansions which is anchored within Product Supply, Quality & IT with +19,000 of Novo Nordisk’s +44,000 employees globally. The responsibility of Fill Finish Expansion is to plan and execute the establishment of new pharmaceutical production capacity across the global manufacturing network within Biotech and Rare Diseases (BRD) and Injectable Finished Products (IFP) while ensuring harmonization and global standards. Across the different roles there is a distinct global aspect as the end goal is a global standard and best practice, and working with multiple sites, cultures and traditions will be a key element.
