Manager – Facility & Maintenance Does your motivation come from challenges and working in a dynamic international environment? You will head up a team of 12-15 highly specialized professionals, specialists, and project managers within the new SVP area ‘Fill & Finish Expansions’ for major capacity expansion projects. The success of your work, to drive the technology standards within your team’s areas of expertise, will be vital to the success of our SVP area and Novo Nordisk. The position As the Manager of our Facility & maintenance team, your success will rely on your ability to build strategic partnerships with colleagues in our SVP area and beyond. Together with these partners, you will create a roadmap for your new Facility & Maintenance team that clearly outlines the responsibilities of both production sites and your team. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the right skills are brought on board to meet all management processes, support Portfolio Projects and future Standards for operations. Your role will involve the following: Leadership of the Facility & Maintenance team with an added focus on personal- and professional development of the individual contributors. Drive strategic decisions within your area based on input from your team’s specialists. Foster collaboration with site managers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations across strategic sites worldwide. Ensure effective vendor- and financial management through Project Managers and PMOs. Use your excellent communication skills to mentor junior team members and secure effective alignment with SVP management. Strong focus on operational readiness for the new Green Field sites You should anticipate traveling for 30-40 days per year, potentially every quarter. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you see yourself in the following bullets: You’re an empathic and experienced leader who understands how to lead a diverse team of professionals in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment. You possess deep technical knowledge of working on projects that involve Facility technical solutions and Process Maintenance. You have a track record of successfully shaping and executing strategies in a complex international environment. You have a track record implementing Sustainability solutions in production environment and facilities You exhibit excellent cross-cultural and communication skills, with fluency in English. In terms of personal characteristics, you are known for your excellent leadership skills and your empathetic approach as a team player, with a positive and solution-focused attitude. You demonstrate resilience and endurance when overcoming challenges. Moreover, your strong relationship-building abilities at all levels in an international organization are highly valued. Since you will be handling a department, it is expected that you have a good understanding of processes and systems, while also having a keen eye for detail and a structured mindset. About the department Engineering & Facility is a department in the newly created SVP area of Fill Finish Expansions which is anchored within Product Supply, Quality & IT with +19,000 of Novo Nordisk’s +44,000 employees globally. The responsibility of Fill Finish Expansion is to plan and execute the establishment of new pharmaceutical production capacity across the global manufacturing network within Biotech and Rare Diseases (BRD) and Injectable Finished Products (IFP) while ensuring harmonization and global standards. Across the different roles there is a distinct global aspect as the end goal is a global standard and best practice, and working with multiple sites, cultures and traditions will be a key element.
