The team waiting for you You will be part of the Digital Accelerator (DA), a unit in Digital Data & IT. Novo Nordisk continues to build and invest in innovative digital solutions, and we in the DA play an instrumental role to bring these solutions to life. We are currently more than 20 dedicated DA teams responsible for designing, developing, and operating digital products – and we are growing. You will join the BayesChrom team. We build and run an advanced AWS SaaS solution based on a probabilistic model and algorithm. Our solution significantly improves the speed of the product quality control on the Novo Nordisk sites across the globe. We apply healthy UX and engineering principles. Our ambition is to be the smartest in using our modern and controlled development process. We are two dynamic fully cross functional scrum teams working closely with our competent Chromatographic experts and Data Scientists.
The tech stack we work with in Backend web development is test-driven development, Python, PostgreSQL and then in the Frontend development with Javascript, Typescript and Vue. We use DevOps: AWS, Docker, GitHub, database administration, CI/CD, Grafana + misc. monitoring tools. What’s in it for you? You are a Senior Fullstack or Backend Software professional and you love working in cloud. DevOps and automation is close to your heart, and your dashboard give you confidence that things are ok. You favour APIs first and you have tried and worked with different design patterns.
Being part of a cross functional team is your favorite, and you want to help us building our solution, and contribute on all possible levels of the product lifecycle. As our Senior Python Developer, your responsibilities are to: Build and develop test driven REST APIs for our application in Python Build integrations to other systems and databases Ability to understand complex business domains and design features that solve complex problems in a simple and coherent way Support the operations, both with DevOps tasks and bug fixes Assisting users with issues, troubleshoot complex interface related errors Work closely with stakeholders and line of business to understand user requirements and system functionality Update technical documents, attend team meetings, and actively participate in ideation of innovative solutions
Candidate profile
As an ideal candidate you have strong skills in the following: Master’s degree in relevant subject with +7 years of experience Experience in Python backend API development Experience working on SQL databases, preferably on a system writing to the database Professional collaborative software engineering experience: Git, peer reviews, behaviour and test-driven development Taking ownership of solutions Experience in cloud platforms, CI pipelines (AWS) and Docker Data integration knowledge is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication Experience with frontend frameworks is a plus As per person you are driven by a passion to help others, want responsibility and freedom. You are a team player too, a great listener who thrives with complicated problems.
