As a Production Director, you will report directly to the Vice President (VP) of Aseptic Production. You will be responsible for the manufacturing operations in Line 1 that consists of Filling, capping and freeze-drying processes. There are also support teams that define the process steps, ensure compliance, handle the batch documentation flow and maintenance of the equipment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Set the direction for the department
• Ensure that the business goals are reached within the agreed timeframe
• Lead a department that spreads across a broad range of complex tasks
• Work closely with the support areas, QC and QA and to ensure good coordination and support to each other
Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
• Extensive leadership experience – preferably as a leader of leaders
• Extensive managerial experience in the pharma industry enabling you to lead through other leaders, setting the direction for your area, as well as coach and motivate your own direct reports
• Strong believe in LEAN leadership and experience in driving continuous improvement
• Interest in developing the department using digitalization and new technology
• Full professional proficiency in English and a relevant academic degree related to Life Science or Engineering
On a personal level, you are comfortable in being challenged by senior stakeholders on your decisions. Your high integrity and robustness enable you to integrate different views in the decision-making process. Having said that, we expect you can stay firm when needed to secure the production, quality, and compliance aspects in accordance with BRD ambition. About the department
Finished Products site Gentofte and Værløse is part of Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD). At our sites in Gentofte and Kirke Værløse, we are more than 750 colleagues responsible for transforming the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) into the finished products for people living with serious chronic diseases. We work with advanced processes such as formulation, filling, freeze-drying in a sterile environment, assembly, and packaging. We bring value to our patients by delivering high-quality products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) in a timely and cost-effective manner as we constantly optimise our processes and invest in the latest technology.
