We are on the lookout for a Senior Automation Engineer to help us increase our automation capacity, by digitalizing and automating our processes, so that we can produce smarter. Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) is part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, which is a global production network at the forefront of technology and quality production of pharmaceutical products. In BRD we are not only supplying all Novo Nordisk products for Rare Diseases but also using our competencies in Biotech to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk. We are app. 2500 colleagues committed to driving change for people with serious chronic diseases.
We produce our life-saving medicines out of five state-of-the-art production sites in Denmark and the United States - covering the entire production value chain where raw materials are cultivated, purified, formulated, filled, assembled in devices, packed, and distributed across the globe. As our new member, you will be part of a IT/OT department covering 6 API production facilities placed all over Zealand. We support daily operations, plan and executes projects & Continuous Improvements and set the strategic direction.
The department consists of 60+ competent, open-minded, and curious IT and Automation Technicians and Engineers, Architects and Infrastructure Security engineers. Our team covers IT/OT support, Backlog, projects and strategy in a facility in Gentofte. The team consists of 4 automation engineers and 1 IT infrastructure & Security engineer. We like an informal, friendly and honest tone where everyone likes to share their point of view and take part in building our new structured team. What’s the role about?
You will get to implement new automated solutions and play an important role both in the daily work and in systems and process upgrading. You will also play a central role in maintaining and optimizing our applications while ensuring stability and supporting our production lines. The job allows you to become part of upgrading our production IT platform, and you would ensure that our DCS solution continues to stay stable. You will join cross-organizational peer networks, allowing you to build your know-how and knowledge of how things are done in a state-of-the-art organization, where specialists, experts, and supporters are eager to share their experiences. Lastly, you will be collaborating with operators and supporters to analyze and identify possible optimizations. We expect you to: Be the tech lead of ABB Sattline
Participate in projects & Continuous Improvement and provide input on automation solutions to our stakeholders
Develop and code updates to optimize our production processes within ABB Sattline
Qualify changes in the system and ensure QA Department approvals
Troubleshoot and test system deviations in production
Help other colleagues improve their technical skills
Candidate profile
We wish you can tick off most of the following boxes: A bachelor (or higher) degree or equivalent within IT Software Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Minimum 2 years of experience covering IT operational processes and governance structures in large organisations
Sattline as DCS system
Minimum 4 years of experience as Automation engineer (experience with international standards like ISA.S88)
Hands on technical experience with designing, implementing and qualifying automation/OT solutions (PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, Historian etc.) and network infrastructure
Minimum 1 year experience within the Pharma, Biotech or other regulated industries and hold a large knowledge base about GAMP 5
Proactive, curious and want to take the lead in ensuring the best Automation/OT solutions for the sites
A good communicator across functions, organisation levels, and cultures and you can listen and understand the OT, IT and business complexities and translate these into deliveries that can be executed on
Advantage to have experience with Unicorn, Sattline, Pas-X, and other Computerized equipment
