Student Assistant - Sustainability

We are currently looking for a talented and detail-oriented student Assistant for our Sustainability Center of Excellence (SCoE).
This is a great opportunity for a young scholar – preferably with sustainability as part of the courseload - looking to pursue a career from a corporate function with access to a global organization, where you will gain experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.
The challenge
is an international FMCG company with operations in 20 countries on four continents of 10,000 colleagues around the world with the vision of becoming the undisputable, global & sustainable leader in cigars
As Student Graduate, your work will support the SCoE in delivering Rolling Responsibly, our sustainability agenda, and also to start looking into the next strategic period. You will assist the team in their tasks which span Environmental, Social & Governance topics. We have recently achieved validation of our Science Based Targets for climate emissions reductions by SBTi and are looking to strengthen our Scope 3 upstream and downstream value chain data – both to increase our knowledge, and to achieve further granularity with the help of our Student Graduate, who expertly works with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint (a plus if you know ThinkCell & Efficient Elements)

We expect you to work around 20 hours/week, but we are of course flexible around exams. You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Your responsibilities will focus mainly on:
- Conducting analysis to create insights for our Leaf team based on the data gathered from our Leaf suppliers via our membership in Sustainable Tobacco Programme
- Collecting data and creating a database for our packaging materials (currently in several systems and with several owners), incl. calculating CO2 footprint of packaging solutions used in STG based on the internal tool.
- Gathering data, then assessing, comprising and creating meaningful reports from our non-tobacco suppliers for insight.
- Performing desktop research and articulating results in different presentation formats for e.g. the Executive Board, Board of Directors, the Audit Committee and in various fora in the STG organization
- Assisting with communication material and article formulation
What we are looking for
- You are currently in the last year of your bachelor’s degree, or in the first year of your master’s in sustainability or climate, finance, economics, or business administration or you are a seasoned Executive Assistant
- It’s a plus if you can project manage
- You are detail-oriented and understand the elements that make up an annual report regarding the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
- You are adept at learning new technologies and comfortable working independently after receiving guidance
- You are structured and able to multi-task to deliver on various planned and ad-hoc requests.
